October 2009 Cumulative Update Packages for SharePoint Server 2007

Today I had a client ask about the specific steps involved in updating their SharePoint server. Obviously it is important to update the operating system as well as the SQL Server. But SharePoint has several of its own updates you need to be aware of. There is a download package from April 2009 and the October 2009 Cumulative Updates.
