A little research goes a long way

Posted by Sharee English  Published in Misc

A colleague of mine, known as a networking and security guru, wrote a blog this summer about his experience with TechNet and MSDN Search. The blog was interesting and showcased some of the major improvements in both search facilities. Shortly thereafter, Chris Slemp, who works in the Server and Online Tools Group at Microsoft, wrote [...]

PDC Conference in Los Angeles this week

Posted by Sharee English  Published in Misc, Visual Studio

I posted a blog back in February about the SharePoint conference I attended in Seattle, and explained that like most of my colleagues, conferences that I attend are few and far between. When I asked the client why he was creating the column in the library and not at the top-level site his response was that he didn’t know the difference/benefits/advantages/disadvantages. It ultimately comes down to [...]

You can view the presentation at the Sacramento SharePoint User Group Web site. During my research I came across this Web hosting company that had a great list of the features of WSS [...]

SharePoint Case Studies

Posted by Sharee English  Published in SharePoint

When working with my clients I occasionally get the questions about SharePoint, such as “What issues can SharePoint solve that other applications cannot?”, and “How are other companies using SharePoint?” Although I am a huge fan of the technology, sometimes my enthusiasm alone cannot help everyone understand the usefulness of the technology – as well [...]

Google Search Results for Sharee English

Posted by Sharee English  Published in Misc

Yes, like most people I do an occassional google search to see if I can be found on the World Wide Web. And, like most people about page 200 there’s a little blurb about me. But lately when I perfomed a search, much to my surprise I was on the first page of both google [...]
